[lively-kernel] what is the LK server'side made of?

Hi, I paid litte attention to the connected-disconnected
 status seen in the world page until I lauched LK from
an intranet network. I would like to see some page
showing the nature and implementation of what is
the LK world connected to. Is it bound to the web
server, a servlet, Node, ir a server-side script?
